I would say it's a great dive Mexican restaurant. Nothing fancy. Beautiful vintage furniture. However, you go to a restaurant for food. The food is solid. Fresh salsas and much more. True the house special, steak ranchera.

I'm obsessed with this joint. Within 2 minutes of sitting, I'm asked for a drink and given homemade chips and salsa. I'm not much of a menu adventurer, I get the same thing every time. Shrimp burrito with no cheese, and it's bigger than my face. I love it. Delicious and comes out hot as hell. They have this jukebox that I've never heard any music come out from, but today it was playing some amazing songs all entirely in Spanish. EVEN SELENA! lol perfect mood for the joint. Love coming here.

Went late evening after a few cocktails downtown. My friend recommended it and It was really good! I had a two item combination dinner, my friend had a burrito. Salsa and chips good appetizer while we waited for our entree's. I will be back!

The food here is epically good. Super authentic Mexican food and we're from LA, SF and Mexican so the bar is always high when we try a Mexican restaurant haha. So many Mexican places these days overdo it with the cheese, dairy or fried fare and the food here is simple yet full of flavor and doesn't sit heavy in the belly. We ate here twice while in Palm Springs. The cabeza tacos (beef cheek) are soft, juicy and to die for to the point that we all fought over them. My mom ordered the birria en caldo (soup) and she was elated, I loved my caldo de res (veggie beef soup full of flavor) and my brother devoured his burrito ranchero with birria meat. Must try!!!

The salsa is exceptional good, the red one. Good start to the meal. The carnitas were a little bit crunchy on the outside side and moist as can be on the inside. The meat is cooked so well it's has the constancy of a soft cheese. Same for the BIRRIERIA. I had the Barbacoa, Lengua absolutely some of the best Mexican food I've ever had. The service was friendly and attentive to all our needs. Each table and chair were hand made in Jalisco.

Carnitas was crispy and delicious! Best I've had in years. Birria was actually goat (should have known from the logo), but im used to getting "birria" and receiving beef. Free chips and salsa. Looked like a lot of locals were dining there for lunch. HUGE portions. GREAT value. Especially when a few blocks down is downtown Palm Springs with a lot of overpriced, mediocre Mexican food. We picked this place cause we were walking down the street and it smelled delicious. Fast service. 5/5 RECOMMEND FOR TASTE, VALUE, CONVENIENCE, AND SERVICE.

I ordered a top shelf margarita, it was very good. We also ordered a variety of food, including the Birria tacos and the nachos. Very good, happy we decided to pop in!
